Silverstone Classic

20th, 21st and 22nd July 2012

2011 was bigger and more exciting than ever with much more to entertain you. The Silverstone Classic is the fusion of iconic rock, classic racing covering 90 years, celebrities, famous brands, car clubs and family fun.

The Silverstone Classic 2012 will once again be at the Home of British Motor Racing and, of course, the British Grand Prix, with cars depicting  a range of classic racers from the full spectrum of historic motor sport with huge grids featuring an amazing array of Grand Prix, GT, Le Mans, single-seaters, sports and touring cars spanning more than seven decades of epic circuit racing history. Following the classic theme

Over the last three years the event concept has changed from being purely classic motor racing based to include live music concerts under the legend ‘Rocking and Racing’.

Silverstone Classic Concerts

Open access grandstands and pit garages coupled with a variety of family-led entertainment including funfair, air displays, shopping, go karting, steam traction rallies, helicopter pleasure flights and a host of other attractions it’s a weekend of fun for all the family.

Live music concerts each evening make this a unique experience for race fans, car enthusiasts and the whole family. The 2012 live music bill will be topped by Adam Ant and Mike and the Mechanics with other high-profile acts to be confirmed.

Classic heritage buses will operate continuously from the bottom of Copse Runway by the Silverstone Six grandstand via Stowe Circuit to the International Paddock and vice versa for those wishing to move between the northern and southern sections of the infield.
